We never charge training programs subscription, setup, or advertising fees. Our training program partners only pay when a student successfully enrolls in their program.
About Us
In 2009, brothers Patrick and Daniel Brown founded Occam Education to help students find and win admission to competitive university programs that fit their unique interests and career goals.
To make Occam's admissions advising tips and test preparation resources more accessible, they launched the app Wend in 2021. Over time, many app users expressed interest in entry-level healthcare careers that did not require the college degrees promoted within Wend.
Based on this user feedback, Daniel and Patrick launched Wend Care in November 2023 to connect users to the resources that will allow them to further their healthcare careers.
Now, we partner with hospitals, training programs, and health systems to complement existing recruiting efforts, minimize costs, and create an ecosystem of future workers.
Training Program FAQs
We do not charge our partners any setup, listing, or advertising fees.
There is no initial fee to be listed on the platform, nor do we pass any of our marketing costs onto our partners. We handle all of the marketing expenses and focus on driving traffic to our app. App users can download and use Wend Care for free.
We charge a commission fee when students enroll in your program, so we only make money if you do!
We will not handle any of your billing. Each organization is free to operate and bill their students as they normally do. Our role is to connect interested students, then take a commission when they successfully enroll.
All programs on our platform will be matched with compatible users based on the students' interests, geographic location, and overall career goals.
We pay to advertise our app and related services on social media, yet none of these costs are passed on to our partners. When we market on social media, we don't advertise for one organization in particular—rather, we promote Wend Care as a whole to viewers interested in the healthcare industry.
When a student indicates interest in your program or chooses to apply via the app, you will receive a notification. That student's contact information will be made available for you to reach out to them and complete the application process.
